B. Stacks

The longest-running artist on this list and the one with the smallest output, which he is aware of and does not intend to fix. Stacks started in 2002, put out two projects nobody heard, and stopped completely in 2006. The application was filled out. Second shift, sorting. He told us he never turned it in but kept it in a drawer for a year "in case I got weak."

What brought him back was a beat Tone Deep sent him with no message attached. He wrote to it the same night and did not stop for eight months. The Haughville Tapes came out in 2008 and is, in the flat opinion of this site, the best-written record anybody in Indianapolis has made.

He writes longhand in composition notebooks and will not record before midnight, a rule he has never explained and gets irritated about being asked. He has filled fourteen notebooks. He still has all of them.
